Description:
iMovie is a Macintosh based video creation tool that teachers and students in most any grade can use to enhance the study of a particular classroom topic. It allows students to demonstrate what they have learned with images, video, sound and voice. Students live in a world of multimedia and become excited about learning when they are engaged in a technology enhanced learning environment. This can happen when using a program such as iMovie.

Creating a video project promotes critical thinking skills and also enhances writing and organizational skills. Students will learn how to organize their thoughts through storyboarding, writing scripts, and creation of a video product.

As a teacher, you can provide students with the opportunity to create iMovie projects that will help promote critical thinking skills and also enhance writing and organizational skills. Learn how to use iMovie with students and help them to understand how to organize their thoughts through storyboarding, writing scripts, and creation of a video product.

A rubric has been included to help guide you through the collection of all the artifacts you will need to share as evidence of completing the module. Also, the rubric is an assessment tool to be used by the designated personnel in your school district to whom you will submit your completed work for CEU credit.
